Examples of assignments

The following examples provide a flavour of the kind of work we perform. These studies are usually conducted for clients that the firm serves over many years rather than representing one-off projects of a few months.

  • Serving an Australian Investment Bank to help them identify growth options in Asia and entry strategies for these initiatives.

  • Conducting a series of strategic and organisation reviews over five years for businesses within a major Australian mining group, including overall restructuring, sector strategies, underground operations, mineral marketing and group service activities.

  • Counselling the leadership of one of Australia's pre-eminent law firms on overall direction and organisation to take advantage of its national and regional presence and strong market reputation.

  • Working with the leadership of one of Australia's largest family companies to restructure, to take a number of significant strategic initiatives and to reorganise management modus operandi in preparation for succession and a new management team.

  • Worked for over a decade with a leading domestic manufacturing company who has built a pre-eminent position in its industry. The work with this client has involved major strategic reviews, internal restructurings and reorganisation, a number of major middle market acquisitions and their resulting integration and divestment programs.

  • Worked with a leading fund manager in conceiving and then developing a new product channel that over six years came to represent much of the total value of the business.

  • Worked with two food processing clients in a joint study to define the potential of, and commercial arrangements required for, the formation of a manufacturing JV in a leading consumer brand market.

  • Undertaking a detailed review of both growth options and trading strategy for a major Australian energy company.

  • Advising a major healthcare company on its forward strategy, and assisting with the detailed implementation of the main findings.

  • Helping a major construction company identify new markets and approaches to existing markets, and then assisting with the changes necessary to organise for success.
