Imma Chippendale
Imma graduated from UNSW with First Class Honours in
Physics and Astronomy as part of a double degree in Science and Arts.
While working at Port Jackson Partners she has completed a Graduate
Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment at the Securities Institute
of Australia. She is currently working towards a Masters of Public
Policy at ANU.
Since joining Port Jackson Partners in 2001, Imma has
assisted clients
in a range of industries, including energy, property, mining,
infrastructure and building materials. Studies she has been involved in
have focused on setting long term corporate and business unit
strategies, developing risk management strategies, organisational
redesign and corporate and financial restructuring.
Examples of recent work
- Worked on developing a set of principles to guide
Australia's
response to the greenhouse challenge
- Worked extensively with an Australian property
company to:
- Develop a long-term strategic plan
- Communicate that plan to the organisation
- Assist the subsequent planning process at the
business unit level
- Worked extensively with an Australian energy
company
to review options
to secure the existing business and promote future growth,
specifically:
- How to continue to be a competitive player in
the
evolving electricity
and gas markets
- Investigating various options to improve the
management of risk
- Developing improved processes linking different
sections of the company
- Worked on a wide-ranging review of Australia's
infrastructure and how
infrastructure improvements can contribute to Australia's growth. The
review looked at Australia's electricity infrastructure, inter-capital
freight, urban transport and rural and urban water
- Assisted in developing a long-term strategic plan
for
a large
Australian mining company in the context of an uncertain future market
- Assisted in developing and evaluation a number of
strategic themes to
create a more efficient energy market
- Assisted a building materials company to develop
a
business expansion
strategy, including a plan to build new manufacturing facilities over
the next five years
