Peter McMahon

Peter holds a First Class Honours degree in Economics and a Commerce degree from the University of Queensland. Peter was a recipient of an Axiss Finance Scholarship, which involved undertaking vocational training with an international investment bank during his degree.

Since joining Port Jackson Partners in 2006, Peter has worked exclusively in the mining sector, across a wide range of issues

“One of the main reasons I considered a career in consulting was that I wanted to have continued variety in my job as well as the opportunity to work on big and complex problems. While Banking may have provided this to a certain degree, I felt consulting would be a better fit. When I first started investigating a career in consulting, I began by looking at the big three firms. I was however immediately impressed by Port Jackson Partners’ approach, which I felt offered a more rapid development experience via its low leverage model.”
